Must have!Mar 09, 2010 Ok so I know that is product is expensive, but I tell you it's worth the money! My 5 year old son first started playing with these in his preschool class a couple years ago. His teacher would always tell us how tall he would build things with the magna tiles and that he played with them all the time! So I bought the 100 piece translucent back then and I just recently for Christmas bought another 100 piece set basic colors as well as the cars magna-tiles and my 5 year old and 3 year old sons love them! They are creative and will put cars or stuffed animals in it and build around them or just see how high they can build with it and then they will throw one of their toys into their high tower just to see it get knocked down. Never once have the magna-tiles ever cracked or anything (and my boys are destructive with things, trust me) I highly recommend!
Hours of FUN!Feb 03, 2010 I have a 3 year old and a 6 year old and they love to play with their magna tiles! They will spend hours creating space ships, houses, animals, and much more. I had no idea what a hit it would be. They are easy and fun to clean up too. Out of all toys they go for Christmas this is the one that they play with the most!
Great educational toyJan 17, 2010 I bought this toy for my kids for Christmas 2009 and they play with it a lot. I wish it was less expensive because I'd like to buy a set for my kid's class. I highly recommend this toy, your kids will love it and you'll probably play with it too.

fantastic fun... but expensive.Dec 09, 2009 A friend recommended the Magna-Tiles to me for my 4yr old son Kurt. They were meant to be his present for the holidays, but he saw the Amazon box arrive, and so got them early. That was a week ago and he hasn't stopped playing with them since. Neither have I, they're addictive!
It's fun to watch how the kids evolve from (first 1/2 hour) just creating piles of tiles and sticking the faces together, to discovering the edges stick and building roads/train-tracks, to thinking in 3 dimensions and building structures.
My friends' 5 yr old built a geodesic dome with all of the triangle pieces, really.
Much better than Lego, because they are more abstract & flexible to build almost ANYTHING. The only thing keeping them from the full five stars is just that they are SOOO expensive. If they we're 1/2 the price I'd buy 3 more sets, and then we could build some really cool structures!
Lastly, our family travels a lot in our RV and this toy is perfect for that. It cleans up in about 30 seconds, all the pieces stick together so you don't lose any "bits", and they collapse down to a very small pile so they take up almost no room.
I DEFINITELY recommend this toy if you can justify the expense.
Amazing Toy!Jul 07, 2009 My 3-year old cannot get enough of his Magna-tiles. Every morning when he wakes up, it's the first thing he wants to do - "Mommy, will you build the magna-tiles with me?". He has so much fun creating new shapes and structures. It really sparks your imagination, to see what you can build with the squares and triangles.
My only complaint is that there are not enough different sizes of tiles. They are pretty pricey, but worth every penny for us.
