perfect for a "crafty" 6-yr oldJan 02, 2010 My 6 year old daughter received this kit as a gift and as she opened the box and dumped out the contents I was thinking "oh no, I am going to have to do this...." but she spent the better part of an afternoon following the great instructions and completed the project, 100% ON HER OWN. She has played with her doll creation, non-stop, for the past two days (and she is not usually "into" dolls). The glue is great and really keeps everything intact, though I'm sure a touch-up here and there with a glue gun may eventually be needed if she is playing with the doll all day, everyday. I definitely recommend this product for a child who is able to read/follow instructions, has patience( you do have to glue things together), and likes to create things.
On another note, my 4 year old received the fairy version of the same kit and my 6 year old and I decided we had better help sister "finish" her doll. Now they each have one to play with.
fun craftJan 14, 2009 my daughter got this and we had a blast putting it together, she was 5 at the time, and needed a lot of help. The doll has held up well though, and ended up really cute. If you like to craft with you kids, this is a great buy!
Fun & EasyAug 15, 2008 I bought this doll for my 4 year old and we had so much fun making this together! I had to do most of the work but she had a great time making her very own doll. We made the doll about 4 months ago and it is still in great shape and she plays with it a lot. I plan on buying the rest of the series to make.

WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY AND TIMEMay 07, 2008 This was a waste of money and time.I thought it would be fun for my daughter to make a doll.She picked this one because of the pink so was so happy until she tried to put the doll together.This kit comes with the body ,yarn hair,glue,color pencils,ribbon,pink mesh for the tutu,and double-sided tape.The only thing that stayed on the doll was the hair that had to be glued on which was also messy.the tape is cheap and does not stick onto the body but it did to the pink mesh.This doll was put in the trash if your daughter just has to have this kit don't follow the directions try your own way of putting this doll together.
